How to set up loan rollovers

Rollover means that you want to extend the running loan by the period that the initial loan was. For example, If  a customer’ s loan principal was 10000 and the customer is expected to pay 12000 after the charges (e.g interest and mpesa charges), rolling over will mean that you are extending the loan by one month and trateting the balance 12000 as the principal.


The loan will get the usual charges and the customer will have an extended loan, but with a new (more) balance than the old one. 


You can have a setting where loans get rolled over after a certain period of time, after the due date. To do this;


  • Go to setup on the menu

  • App settings

  • Click on loan settings

  • Scroll down to Loan Rollover


Ensure you check on the check box, and put your prefered day as shown on the image below:
