How to set up AfricasTalking,USSD and Sender Id on presta

To configure SMS & USSD here are the steps:

  1. SMS
    • Login to your presta account
    • Go to Settings > app Settings.
    • Click SMS/USSD Settings.
    • Login to your africastalking account.
    • Click on your appName
    • Go to Settings >Api Key
    • Key In your password and it will generate for you your api key.
    • Paste the api key on the api field.
    • Go back to Dashboard on Africastalking
    • Copy the username shown there to Presta username field.

    • Afterward click on SMS > Alphanumeric > MyAlphanumeric
    • Copy your alpha numeric there.
  2. USSD
    • Login to your presta account
    • Go to Settings > app Settings.
    • Login to your africastalking account.
    • Click SMS/USSD Settings.
    • Go to USSD > Service Codes.

    • ​
    • Copy the USSD under service code into USSD Code field on Presta.
    • Then click on the 3 dots items on the last column of that table > Click Callback

    • ​
    • On the URL section, paste this URL: https://app.presta.co.ke/kopesha/api/ussd/dedicated

    • ​
    • Give it 2-3 mins, and USSD for the URL to be configured.

 

After you are done, send an email to support@presta.co.ke for the configurations to be approved. Incase you’re stuck reach us using the same email or our contact center.
